Coda to the Emergency Room

A bit of excitement today when the planned walk on the beach with the dogs turned into a trip to the veterinarian emergency room. While jumping out of the back of the explorer young Coda caught her left front paw and twisted over it on the way to a hard fall on the ground. She stood up unable to put pressure on her left front paw. The vet gave her some anti-inflammatory meds and told her to lie quietly (yeah right) and see how she responds in the morning.

Family Outing at Whiskey Run

Here is a photo from our trip to Whiskey Run on the day before Christmas. As you can see it was a beautiful and calm day at the ocean. This is the spot for kiting in waves around here. But on this day we worked on some basic herding commands with Coda. As you can see The General had moderate interest.
