Good Fun this weekend with a variety of local events. Here you see Sylvia and her sister Katja with Bob behind the wagon of cranberries. The idea is to guess the number of cranberries in the jar. Between the three of us our guesses ranged from 9541 to ~ 2704... Proceeds going to the Bandon Cranberry Festival. We will let you know!
The Friends of the Langlois Public Library concluded their annual silent auction, which was immediately followed by the dessert auction. The auctioneers were this couple who kept the energy light and humorous while draining wallets for berry crisps, apple pies, and oatmeal squares among other items. The UCM big purchase was 62 pounds of fresh lamb butchered in the field then dressed and wrapped ready to be placed in the freezer! Locals tell us this is the best way to obtain lamb. We tried some earlier and are looking forward to stuffing the freezer. Although the purchase that stuffed us and will most likely make us bigger was the berry crisp!
The calorie for cash preview on the deck of the Langlois Library!
