Chicken Adventure Part II - Tractor in Work

A Chicken Tractor is not quite what is sounds like - but it is a wheeled method of moving the girls around the property.  For this project we are starting with the basic frame of the trailer which had the tires and bearings repaired, then it was leaned against the telephone pole for a good cleaning and finally painting.
FYI - Under that brown tarp in the background is next winters wood. The tarp will be coming off now that the winter rains have passed.  The wood will have seasoned for two years before it reaches the hearth.

From bare trailer frame next it was a matter of laying out some lumber and framing the coop.

Then getting it bolted on!

The details are coming next and always seem to take the longest.  But it is amazing what paint and the little things will do for the longevity of buildings here along the Oregon Coast!
