The Running of the Pugs!
Our dear friends Craig and Ann who recently spent a decade in Atlanta have relocated to Corvallis Oregon and at three and half hours away they are practically next door neighbors! They came down to UCM for the weekend and brought their two pugs along. With a young male and an older female it was interesting managing the settling process as country dogs met city dogs.
While "The General" was quite demonstrative in showing the little male "Chester" who was the Alpha. "Queen Coda" had a bit more trouble demonstrating who was the queen bitch. At the end of the day the title went to little and old "Ada Mae" who was relentless in herding Coda. Since before their arrival we all thought Coda would have a field day herding the pugs - in the end nothing could have been further from the truth as this short video will demonstrate some of the angst of Coda's weekend! The original working title was Border Collie Herding Techniques...
When enough was enough Coda however stretched her legs and ran into the tall grass where the chase would fizzle as ground clearance is an ongoing issue for Pugs navigating in the country. In the end the Pugs slept soundly on the drive home and through the night.
You can watch some of stretch run in the blog entry "Outrunning of the Pugs."
